1880 Federal Census
John and Catherine Trunk are listed in Floyd County, First Ward of New Albany Indiana.  The father is listed as Rheumatic.
The street is shown as East Elm Street.  The street before it on the census is Vincennes Street.  John Trunk (59) (Germany)
is listed as a Grocer. Living with him are his wife Catharine (60) (Germany), a son Henry (18) (Indiana) (listed as a Druggist), a
son August (20) (Indiana) (listed as a Machinist), and a son Eddie (22) (Indiana) (listed as a Paper Hanger).
This is the only
Trunk family listed in New Albany, Indiana, so I think the census taker got the names mixed up.  Eddie was the 18 year old
Druggist, and Henry was the 22 year old Paper hanger.

Gilpin Street were his wife of one year Beatrice (25) (Kansas), and a son Fletcher B. (9) (Indiana) (father from Indiana - mother
from Ohio - obviously a child from a previous marriage).
