The Standard Drug Company Cleveland was
started in 1902 by Charles A Godman who
was Born at Cardington, Ohio 1858 Charles
retired from the business in 1914.
By the 1940s, Standard Drug had become
Cleveland's largest drug store chain. It
vacated the Grand Arcade building in 1961
when the company was purchased by
Regal Drug Stores, which later became part
of the Revco chain.
