Breuninger page 75-77 for a great photo of this rare Kit.
This kit was used by the A.A.F as a back pad kit during WW II. Was primarily used in jungle
areas and was attached directly to the parachute harness, taking the place of of the standard
back pad.  The 17 1/2" x 18 1/2" olive drab container had an inner liner of felt and horse hair
with cutouots for specific items. This kit is empty but many of the componets can still be
obtained, these include: H-1 goggles, ESM mirror, mosquito headnet, folding machete, 3 pint
water bole, folding machets, box of 45 ammo, match case, 45 shot ammo, 5 min flares, watch
case compass, fishing kit and several other items
