The name INCOLAY is a coined word derived from "in-layers of color" or "in-color-lay" or ultimately "in-co-lay".

Incolay stone is a complex combination of various colored natural minerals and coupling agents. The
stratification, which results, produces the same variegated formations and beauty found in natural stone. The
white artwork is also handcrafted and fuses with the variegated conformations to develop Incolay stone.

Incolay products vary from reproductions of classic antiques to modern day artist renderings. Incolay produces
"trinket" boxes, as well as "treasure" boxes. Many function as jewelry boxes and men's valets. Each item is
delicately handcrafted and no two pieces are ever identical. Incolay products are made in the United States of
America and all materials are also obtained in the United States. With workmanship second to none, Incolay
products are designed to endure the test of time and to become your family's most treasured heirloom.

An avid collector of bas-relief antiques, E.M. Bright, along with his wife Sharane Gordon Bright, the original
owners of Incolay were fascinated with the carved miniature portraits and scenes on multi-colored stones from
ancient Greece. They envisioned re-creating the look of antique cameos using unique material and process
capabilities. They experimented with various minerals, semi-precious stones and bonding agents. Eventually the
Incolay Cameo Stone was created and a process was designed by which the Incolay Stone could be formed in
mezzo or bas-relief, re-creating every detail without harming the original antique.
