Straw Marks:
My best guess as to the cause would be air
also being injected into the mold with the
molten glass during the manufacturing
process, this would cause a visual defect
when the glass cooled off.
The line between the o & the i is the straw
mark not a crack in the glass.
Does it affect the value of the glass ?
Some what but all depends on the collector,
the only defect is visual.

On the inside of the rim.
Cause: Unknown, but most likely made
during manufacturing.
Outside of the rim.
Cause: Made after manufacture.
Small edge nicks should not affect value.
